"I did talk to him just the other day. House told me that I need to do something to earn his respect. I think that earning his respect is going to be next to impossible."
Taub drank the rest of what little was left of his coffee. He grinned to himself at Kayla's last suggestion. He really liked that idea. Either House would fire him or grudgingly admire his audacity for doing it. "I might give that a try," he responded.

Kayla was a little speachless at that comment. Often she would dish out advice, but none would admit to actually trying it. At some point she figured she should just stop talking. Yet... couldn't seem to do so.
Kayla downed what little was left in her own cup. She knew she had to say something. "I hope it works out for you." She had said the words, but they sounded really stupid to her own ears. Great... she had managed to make a fool out of herself and work had yet to start. What a wonderful start to her day... not...

"Thanks, Dr. Tsukino. I hope it works out to." Taub stood up and picked up his empty cup. "Maybe I'll see you around the hospital. It was a pleasure meeting you."
With that said he went back over to the counter to pay for his drink. He threw away his cup, and, on second thought, came back to the counter to pay for Kayla's drink too. It was the least he could do. Taub exited the coffee shoppe.
