It was always scary how, sometimes, only an hour could have passed since she got to work, when it really felt like the whole day. She groaned to herself as she looked at the clock; the tedious red lights blared that it was ten a.m, when it felt like midnight. Cameron may have loved her job to bits, but sometimes, a break was always needed.
Like sitting down in her office, for instance. It was just the sense of relaxation that she needed for now. Sure, the time would be limited to how long she would be in there (she was giving herself ten minutes, tops), but it was still better than nothing.
Rubbing her fingers against her temples to relieve her stress, she sighed as she sat down in her comfy chair, a patient file staring straight her. She was debating on sending it to House, for it seemed like his type of case, but maybe she was just over-looking everything lately, with the echo of the stress that seemed to be wandering around the hospital as of late.
Cameron yawned and stretched out her arms as she looked over the patient file, and from the looks if it, they were heading to surgery for internal bleeding. Which was one less patient she had to worry about for right now.

(Point of advice, it might be nice to label your threads open. Though my post may not be very flashey, here I go.)
Kayla found herself at work bright and early. She would sometimes do so just because. She often would go to the E.R. as a way to check up on things and check who may or may not need a counsult. And, this lmorning just like every morning, is exactly what she was doing. She often stopped in durring various times durring the day to help lighten the load. So here she sat, heading to Cammeron's office to see if her services would be needed this morning before going to her office and starting her rounds.
Wheeling herself with one hand she stopped to snap her fingers to indicate weather a door was open or not. Noticing that Cammeron's office door was in fact open, she knocked on the frame waiting for aknowledgement before entering said office.

(It says open. & sorry it's crap, we're having a statewide internet outage at random times, so I have to make it quick in order not to lose my post.)
She heard the familiar tap on her door. She contemplated ignoring it, or lying and saying that she was busy with a patient file, but that would be rude. Looking up, she noticed Kayla Tsukino, and from what she could recall, she was the head of Neurology.
"Come on in," She said with a smile on her face, yawning slightly.

(I'm not for long posting, in fact it doesn't take much for me to start posting long sentances that take up a line or two. Hopefully your internet compony will resolve the internet issues cameron-san.)
Kayla jumped slightly not expecting a reply. Sometimes in this hospital one didn't know what to expect. Having the vision problems she had at times, did make some things difficult. However, the 'come in" that reached her ears indicated someone was in the room, so she did as asked.
Noting the tirdness in the tone of voice she decied to start with a simple greating. "Hey.... what's up..." she stated. Not the best, but it would have to do. But, then that was how Kayla was sometimes, friendly and talking to everyone in an informal setting even if she should be using a more professional tone.

"Hey ... what's up ..." Cameron smiled at her. Sure, it seemed kind of awkward, but the chances of that changing soon were high. Not shockingly, Cameron was fairly quick when it came to speeding up conversations and making up friends.
"Just looking over a patient's file. Yourself?"

"Nothing much Really, just got to work not long ago. In a way just making my useal rounds. Anything come up.?" Kayla inquired keeping that somewhat perfossional air about her as well. While she wanted to come off as friendly, it made her job easier. At least in her opion anyway.

[omg so sorry. Dx] "Nothing much Really, just got to work not long ago. In a way just making my usual rounds. Anything come up?" Cameron smiled before she shook her head.
"Nope ... Nothing interesting as of yet. Anything interesting for you?"

(meh don't worry about it, I've rped with people that are worse sometimes...)
Kayla shook her head slightly. "Not really just another day in the office sort of speak." she had replied. It had been rather quiet, nothing out of the ordeneray happening. Then again this was a hospital after all, which meant there was always "something" to do. Yet nothing "interesting" had occoured as of late, unless you were one of those that enjoyed eaves dropping into other people's business. But, Kayla had always prided herself on not being the type.

"Not really just another day in the office sort of speak." Cameron nodded, a small smile on her face. She could understand that. Even with the adrenaline rush of the E.R, things never changed, expect for the names. Someone had a broken arm, a missing finger ... sometimes the more fatal things, like a car crash, or a stabbing, but regardless, it was an endless cycle of repeating.
"Maybe we'll get something interesting today, eh?" She said with a laugh - the only thing that would be fairly interesting was if House decided to pull a stunt on someone or actually got a patient. If he pulled a stunt, it'd be quick - a patient? Not so likely.

"Maybe...." Kayla had to agree. When she first started working in the profession things were new. But it didn't take long for things to become retuine. Maybe that was why she decided to break from it and actually talk to someone. Stranger things have happened. Though so far nothing seemed to be happening. For a change things seemed fairly quiet. -- well as quiet as a hospital could get anyway.

"Maybe...." Cameron nodded; she wasn't exactly sure which way this conversation was going, but she was pleased to be making a new friend. She noticed her beeper on her desk, waiting for it to blast the annoying ring, signaling that it was time to go. But she had nothing, nothing at all. For once, the emergency room was clam.
Wait a second, a calm emergency room? Yeah, as if. Surely, something must've been going on. She shrugged it off; they would call her when they need her.

Kayla couldn't help but notice that things seemed to be fairly quiet. After all she had to be in one of the loudest places in the hospital right? Generally the ER was buzzing with activity, people coming and going constently. Yet... she closed her eyes a moment tuning out all other sound. Yep... the E.R. was very quiet compared to how it normally sounded... odd indeed.
She paused as she tried to think of something, anything, to say, but found herself for once at a lack of words. Normally she was a ragular chatter box. yet... it was if she had said everything to come to her mind as of late. Yet her mind was screaming at her to say something... but nothing relevent came to mind.
