It was nice to get away from the the house, sometimes. The superbowl was tomorrow, and, like always, Emmett was the only won who really cared about it. Most of them just made bets with him to just shut the hell up once in awhile. It also didn't help when you had the power to manipulate and feel others moods - so, getting away whenever it was needed, was perfect.
Plus playing the Sims 2 for four hours before made your eyes tired. Was that even possible for a vampire?
"Perfect," Jasper said softly. Of course, it wasn't 'truly' perfect without Alice - it never was. But from what he could recall, Alice was begging Bella to go shopping - and if he wasn't careful, it'd be him going shopping for clothes that he didn't need instead of Bella. He loved Alice with all of his heart, but ... c'mon. Shopping? He already had six thousand times six pairs of clothes ...
He ran his fingers through his honey blonde hair, his train of thought lost in the memories of the past. At first glance of the Mexican beauty as it passed through his mind, a stabbing pain of regret slowly washed over it. Knowing that if he really got deeper into anything father than that, he'd wind up seriously in pain. Quickly, he shifted his thoughts toward happier times ... The first time he met Alice, their wedding ...
That was better.
He smiled to himself, something he hadn't been able to do for awhile. With all that was going on, it was an emotional breakdown - and everyone else thought they were worse off. It's always worse when you feel everything from everything around you.
Closing his eyes, he wished he could sleep - he could feel the fatigue from humans, but it never affected him realistically. He could understand why it sucked, however ... even without the power to actually sleep, he hated the feeling of being tired. Just one of the six thousand advantages of being a vampire.
Hey, I'm solid, hey I'm steady, hey I'm true down to the core,
And I will always do my duty, no matter what the price,
I've counted up the cost, I know the sacrifice,
Oh, and I don't want to die for you,
But if dyin's asked of me,
I'll bear that cross with an honor,
'Cause freedom don't come free.
I'm an American soldier, an American ...
He had forgotten that he had his iPod on. Must've bumped it, Jasper thought to himself as he smiled proudly at the song. "American Solider" by Toby Keith. Even if the song, more than likely, had nothing to do with the Civil War, it was still one of his favourite songs. But of course! It was country; his pride and joy.
With his mood shifting from depressed to happy, like it always did, he wondered what the others might be doing. He smirked at the thought of Edward and Bella; even the years of her being a newborn had faded, the lust for them was still uncontrollable, as he expected it would be. With Nessie taking so dearly after her father and mother, she was another one high up on that list.
Not that he'd ever mention it; Edward would kill him. He had already warned Emmett many times, and honestly, Edward really pissed off was just scary. (Not to mention his moods going from like, mega pissed, to super lustful, then back to pissed.)
Sitting down, he flipped through his iPod songs - it ranged from everything in country, and his secret obsession (via Carlisle, many thanks to him) the Beatles. As he relaxed, the smell of an animal shot through his system. He had just hunted last night, but the blood was still tempting to him - he was incredibly thankful that it wasn't a human, because he knew that the battle would begin. More than likely, he would win that battle - but he didn't like taking any chances.
Closing his eyes and not breathing, he rested his head lightly against a tree. Wonder if it'll storm tonight ... He thought to himself. Baseball would be perfect if it was going to.
