"Yeah. We can stop by your place, but we've got to make it quick." Wilson felt so conspiratorial. It felt so wrong because he and House had just mended their friendship but a few hours ago, and yet it also felt so right. "You'll do fine, Cuddy." Whatever that meant. "I should call her now." Wilson took out his cell phone and dialed her number.
After their short conversation he hung up and put his phone back in his pocket. "She's going to do it," he said, with a small smile on his face. "She wants me to go to her house and get some clothes. You go home and get your clothes. I'll go get her clothes. And we'll meet outside of House's apartment. You think you can do it all in fifteen minutes?"

Cuddy just nodded a couple times, sure that Wilson was right. Turning her eyes away, she wondered if this really was right. She and House had been flirting casually earlier, and then he'd kissed her, and everything had gone to hell from there. Did she really want to see him again so soon after he'd figuratively ripped her heart from her chest and threw it to the floor at her feet? Did she really want him to see her with another, much younger woman? A woman half her age? She could feel a single tear escape her eye, and she clenched them shut, forcing the coming onslaught back. She wouldn't start crying again.
Standing up, she walked the short distance to the built-in bathroom and turned the 'cold' handle on the sink. She splashed her face a few times, then dried it with a paper towel. Looking at herself in the mirror was painful; her eyes were bloodshot, and the bags under her eyes were more noticeable now than they had ever been. How ever was she going to pull this off if she looked like hell? Knowing they wouldn't have much time to get into position, as it were, she just had to hope that House would be too drunk to notice what effect he'd had on her. "Yeah....I can do it in fifteen minutes," she replied, coming back into the main area of her office.

Wilson was glad that things were going so smoothly right now. He hadn't expected Angel to agree so readily, but, then again, she was drunk when he talked to her. Hopefully, when she was sober again she wouldn't come yelling at him. Wilson also didn't think that Cuddy would only ask for two grand. That was nothing. There were doubts in Wilson's mind if he should really be doing this, but it was too late to back out now.
When Cuddy back into the room, he stood up. "We should get going now. We don't have that much time." Wilson walked over to her door and held it open for Cuddy.

Steeling her resolve, Cuddy swallowed the lump in her throat and left the office, glancing once at Wilson as she passed. She had to do this...it was the only option she had at the moment. She stopped in the small area between her office and the clinic, turning to face him.
"So...I'm going alone to my house, you're going to Doctor Fraser's house, and we're going to meet outside of House's apartment?" Cuddy needed to be sure she was doing this right, if she was going to do it at all. Making sure she had the plan right was only the first step down the road to House's humiliation.

Wilson followed her out of the office. He nodded his head. "That's correct." He added, "If you're not absolutely sure that you want to do this you don't have to." He only said that because he wasn't absolutely sure that he wanted them to do this. House had been nice for once in his life to him, and he was repaying his friend by backstabbing him?

Grateful for the chance to back out if she wanted to, Cuddy shook her head. "No. What House did was...unforgivable. And besides, Fraser's probably coercing him back to his place as we speak...There's a part of me that doesn't want to leave them alone and inebriated." Yeah...the part that said "I was there first." Grabbing the handle of the clinic doors, she breathed deeply, doing her best to keep calm in the face of this unknown territory.
"Let's go." And she pushed the door open.
