Kayla nearly jumped when she had heard her name spoken. While the woman spoke she kept trying to process the voice in her head. Once again, a doctor who knew who she was, but Kayla of course couldn't remember the other woman's name. Yet, she knew she wasn't exactly the person she had introduced herself to be for the event. "Why thank you." Kayla replied plastering a smile on her face.
So far this evening seemed to be turning out better then she had expected. The music was wonderful, not to loud. In fact, while at first Kayla had her doubts about this event, she found more and more that she had made the right choice. She was in fact enjoying herself more then she had expected.

"It was a last minute decision," House replied, "chicks dig a guy who smells appealing, apparently. I mean, all those commercials just can't be wrong." House made a daring dip with Cuddy secure in his arms. They weren't tangoing, but House was never conventional.
"Speaking of smells," he murmured, then pulled her back up from the low dip, eyebrows arched, "you certainly smell nicer than usual." He guided her with his strong hands, leading her carefully around the room and other dancers.

"You're very welcome." Angel replied, watching Wilson wander away. She had hoped he would have stayed a little longer, but he seemed to have decided he needed something to drink. "Dr. Fraser, by the way." She said, realizing that she hadn't introduced herself. She could hear the music coming to an end and she bit her lip. "Sorry to cut this short, but being the MC, duty calls." She apologized, giving a reassuring smile before moving towards the stage again. Taking a small detour from her path, she moved passed where Wilson was getting his drink. She ran her fingers across his back playfully before hopping quickly onto the stage. "Alright, we're going to pick up the pace a little bit. Now, the next song is one I'm dedicating to someone special that I know. I think it explains my feelings quite accurately." She said, looking over at Wilson. "One of the perks of being MC is I get to sing with the band." She chuckled, nodding to the band. The band began to play a rather up beat tune before Angel began to sing. "Stupid Cupid You're a real mean guy I'd like to clip your wings So you can't fly I am in love and it's a crying shame And I know that you're the one to blame
Hey hey Set me free Stupid Cupid Stop picking on me
I can't do my homework And I can't think straight I meet him every morning At 'bout half-past eight I'm acting like a lovesick fool You've even got me carrying his books to school
Hey hey Set me free Stupid Cupid Stop picking on me
You mixed me up for good Right from the very start Hey, go play Robin Hood With somebody else's heart
You got me jumping like a crazy clown And I don't feature what your puttin' down Well since I kissed his loving lips of wine The thing that bothers me is That I like it fine
Hey hey Set me free Stupid Cupid Stop picking on me
You got me jumping like a crazy clown And I don't feature what your puttin' down Well since I kissed his loving lips of wine The thing that bothers me is That I like it fine
Hey hey Set me free Stupid Cupid Stop picking on me
Hey hey Set me free Stupid Cupid Stop picking on me
Stupid Cupid" She let the last note play and took a bow. Smiling she replaced the microphone on the stand and made her way back to Wilson.

Wilson felt fingers brushing against his back and turned around just in time to see Angel making her way up to the stage. Drink in hand, he made his way to a rather isolated spot...which meant that when Angel dedicated her song to him everyone in the room could clearly see who she was looking at but he didn't care.
He sipped at his water as he listened to her sing. He was stunned by the pure beauty of her voice. There was clearly a lot he didn't know about Angel. "Bravo!" Wilson shouted out as the song finished up. He watched Angel make her way back to him.
When she was back, he said, "That was amazing. I didn't know you could sing."

She felt herself falling back, and gave a very uncharacteristic laugh. "Well, why would they be?" she asked, referring to the commercials. As she was pulled back up, she smirked. So. He had noticed.
"I thought I'd try out something new; something different than the White Diamonds I usually wear. It's Shania by Stetson...You like it?" she asked hopefully, gazing up at him. Cuddy pulled away slightly as the song came to an end and the MC's voice was heard again.
"Is...Is that..." she asked, turning her eyes to the stage, watching her for a moment before realization dawned. "It's Angel." As the band started her dedication, she turned to House, guessing he'd want nothing to do with it. "And I think I saw Wilson earlier..." From where they had stopped, she looked around, but couldn't find him. Then the song was over and Angel was leaving the stage. "Should we go try to find him?"

Kayla nodded a million thoughts running rampid in her head. At times she felt stupid for being so obvious when it came to forgetting people's names. Though the other woman didn't seem to mind when introducing herself. This had made Kayla feel slightly more at ease.
Taking a sip of her soda shelistened to Angel speaking. But, what blew her away the most, was the fact she sung.. and sung very well at that. Yet the song picked sure did speak volums. It made her wonder some things as well.

House nodded, "it makes you quite pleasing to my nose, that's for sure. Not that you needed any help in that department, though." As the song ended, House looked up to the stage setup to see Scarlett O'Hara take the stage. He looked closer at the woman's face when Cuddy had haltingly wondered as to the identity of the MC.
His lips twisted in a wry smirk, remembering the scene that he had interrupted between the two a couple of weeks earlier. Listening to the song, House had to laugh. So Angel couldn't fight the attraction to Wilson anymore, could she. "She did mention that she was in musicals in high school once," House reflected, looking at Cuddy, before nodding, "finding Wilson has my vote. I kind of want to see the look on his face." He snickered.

Angel smiled brightly when Wilson complimented her. "I am a woman of many hidden talents." She smirked, content that she had surprised him. "I was in the theatre club in high school. We just happen to perform a musical every year." As another slowish song came on, she wrapped her arms around his neck. "Well, since I'm dressed as a very straight forward fictional female, I'm going to be daring and ask if you Rhett Butler, would like to dance?" She inquired, moving closer to him and beginning to move with the music. "I've got a couple of free dances before I have to head up there. Care to join me?"

How on earth could he say no to her? Wilson wrapped his arms around her waist. "Scarlett O'Hara, I would be honored to dance with you." He started to move in time with the music. Wilson couldn't help but remember how only a few days before they had agreed to take things slow. But, in hindsight, did they really need to? She was getting better. They both knew that they were perfect for each other. What was the point in moving slow?

Cuddy nodded a couple times. Scanning the crowd again, she sighed. She could have sworn she'd seen him. A few feet ahead, she saw 'Scarlett's' blue dress. "I think I've found them," she said, hooking her arm through House's again. Guiding him over to where she had seen Angel, she was mildly surprised to find her dancing with Rhett Butler.
"You two come together like that?" she asked, looking them over. Really, though, Cuddy wouldn't be surprised if they'd planned it out. If they hadn't planned it, it was one hell of a coincidence.

"Okay," House couldn't see them, but followed Cuddy anyway, since she was practically dragging him. Well, guiding him really, since he couldn't really be dragged. Then Angel and Wilson came into view.
House was surprised to recognize Wilson dressed as Rhett Butler. He arched an eyebrow, but refrained from comment as Cuddy had asked them a question. It wasn't exactly the pertinent question he would have asked, but it was one likely to get an answer. Whereas if he had been asking the questions, Angel and Wilson in all probability would have rebuffed him or shot back a smart alec answer. He realized that his eyebrow was still arched and he forced it down before he had to send out a search party in his hairline. Plus, the expression was making the sticky glue detach the mask from his face.

Angel looked over at House and Cuddy as they approached, her arms still wrapped around Wilson's neck. She chuckled at Cuddy's question, knowing it would probably be a surprise to the woman that it had been total coincidence. "Actually, I believe we both came single, and just happened to have dressed in the same themed costumes."
She removed her arms from around Wilson's neck, not completely willing to let him go. "Lisa, you are looking rather elegant. House, very handsome." She smiled, linking arms with Wilson.

"That's right. We came here alone," Wilson told House and Cuddy, reiterating and confirming what Angel had said. "Lisa, you look gorgeous. Greg, you look...nice." He couldn't bring himself to say handsome...not after they had pretended to be gay. It would feel--and seem--wrong. From Cuddy and House's complementary costumes, it wasn't a leap for Wilson to assume that Cuddy would be coming over to House's apartment tonight, which meant that Wilson was either in for a sleepless, disturbing night or he'd have to find somewhere else to stay.

Cuddy allowed herself to feel surprised. But she didn't let the expression onto her face. Instead, she smiled at their compliments.
"Thanks. You two don't look too bad, either," Lisa returned. The current song sounded like it was nearing the end, and Cuddy felt bad for obviously interrupting her friends' dance. She was about to say so, but decided that she needed something to drink. "Excuse me for a moment, would you?" she said, leaving House's side and making her way to the refreshment table.

Kayla had long since finished her soda, and was debating on rading the vending machine for another. One thing she didn't much trust was beverages at events such as this. Thus the rade for one of the many vending machines located in the hospital. However, relazaion had dawned on her, she hadn't brought that much money. Poor planning on her part. Yet she was thirsty and decided to take a chance.
Carefully she made her way to through the croud and to the refreashment table. Once there, she eyed everything carefully the debate still in her head what she wished to do.
