Angel walked into the cafeteria at Princeton Plainsboro the best she could with the walking cast she now had on. She was glad she didn't have to rely on crutches anymore, as they wouldn't have looked good with her costume for the evening. As a drama student, her motto had been go big or go home which was exactly what she had done. She donned the blue gown that Scarlett O'Hara had worn in the portrait in the film Gone With The Wind. Of course, the hoop skirt she wore underneath was smaller, more for her own mobility than anything else. Smiling, she made her way through the crowd towards the small stage that had been erected. She was the master of ceremonies for the evening, considering she came stag.
"Welcome ladies and gentlemen," She smiled, taking hold of the microphone. "My name is Scarlett O'Hara, and I will be your MC for the evening." She continued in her best southern belle voice. No use wearing the costume if you didn't go all the way with it. "Please enjoy yourselves, the band will be taking requests all night." She said, motioning towards the band behind her. "So please, don't be shy if you have request for the one you love."

Wilson strolled into the cafeteria by himself. The only reason he hadn't asked Angel to attend the masque with him was that it was so soon after her ex-boyfriend's death. He figured she wouldn't be ready to enter into another relationship for a long time. Wilson's choice of costume had been Clark Gable's Rhett Butler costume from Gone With The Wind.
So, upon entering the cafeteria, when he saw "Scarlett O'Hara" on the stage he was pleasantly surprised. And, mask or no mask, there was no mistaking that woman for any other doctor than Angel. Complimentary costumes, Wilson thought, Must be some kind of sign. He let himself blend into the crowd as listened to Angel do her thing on stage.

Cuddy stood outside the cafeteria, waiting. She checked her watch every once in a while, glancing around nervously. If House didn't show up for this, she'd...well. There wasn't really anything she could do, so she would just have to settle for yelling and screaming. Glancing quickly at her watch again, she sighed. If he didn't show, she'd just go home.
Cuddy had even found that white off-the-shoulder gown from Die Another Day, which House had somehow conned her into watching the previous week. She'd liked the dress, and had decided to attend the masque as Miranda Frost. Readjusting her white mask, she wondered if House would know her by sight. Her hair was up, and she was wearing white stiletto calf boots under the gown. Not her norm.
Since the doors of the cafeteria had been flung wide for this event, she heard someone introduce themselves as "Scarlett O'Hara", and the ball had started. Lisa almost glanced down at her watch again, but stopped when she felt someone standing behind her.

To tell the truth, Alexandria didn’t even know why she had even shown up at this masque in the first place. In other words, the person who asked her could very well be almost considered a stalker with the way that she had caught him staring at her, as she walked down the halls of the hospital. He had only told her one thing, and that was if she had agreed to come that he wanted her to come as Anne Boelyn. Unfortunately for him she wasn't able to find a costume, in the short amount of time he gave her.
She had thought him either insane, or just plain desperate for a date. After all, only desperate people ask someone they didn’t know to come to such a thing. It was completely his fault to say the least. She had already planned to either skip this whole affair, or just hang out by herself. Damien had ruined her plans by asking her to be his date. After all, she was still trying to figure out if three months was enough time to get over her boyfriend.
Oh, well there’s nothing wrong with being nice, even if you don’t plan on ever having another date with Damien ever again.
That was probably the reason why she had put up with his odd request, because this would be the only time that the both of them would ever be seen together. Besides, in her mind this wasn’t even considered a date. As she looked around, Alexandria couldn’t help but let out a brief sigh. The least he could’ve done was be here when I… She didn’t have a chance to finish that thought, because an arm appeared from behind her holding a dozen of red roses.
“I didn’t actually think that you would come.”
((sorry, i’m leaving it right there)

(here I go I hope)
Kayla had managed to make it to the masque. At first she didn't think she would attend, but at the last minute changed her mind. In reallity she really honestly didn't know her co-workers all that well and hadn't gotten to know them either. She was fairly knew to the staff, partly that being her reason, but the other being she interacted mostly on a professional level with her co-workers and hardly ever saw them in a socal setting.
Now the valatines masque had come up presenting her with the perfect oppturnity, and she had nearly jumped at the chance. She debated on attending yes, but took little time in making up her mind. The dress she had chosen was simple, white, most likely not the best choice for such an event, but considering the alternitive of black dedcided it it was the lesser of two evils. It was a full-length dress with white flats for shoes. It just made the formal list, but confertable enough to ware while in her chair.
Currently however, after rading the vending machine, Kayla found herself turned around. She knew a bit about the hospital, but it was large after all. However, the cafiteria shouldn't be to hard to find? True enough. The sounds of music wafted through the hall reaching Kayla's ears as well as a voice of a woman introducing herself as scarlet Oheria. She knew the woman was one of her co-workers, but which one?
Slowly she entered smiling slightly. She had come alone, which was fine by her. She was sure she wasn't the only one after all. With her hand holding the soda she had just purchehed she listened to the anouncment made by the MC. ::This should be interesting.:: she thought to herself.

House frowned as he looked around the cafeteria. It was filling pretty quickly, consisting of off duty nurses and doctors, and some on duty as well. Straightening his sleeve, he wrinkled his face, feeling the sticky gel keeping the black eye mask in place. Oh, the things he did for his vanity, but he had to admit, the black eyeliner made him feel sexy.
The monkey suit made him feel debonair. Kind of like how James Bond looked and acted. He leaned on his cane as he finally spotted a butt he recognized. Oh, the shapely, lovely butt of Doctor Lisa Cuddy, Dean of Medicine and his baby mama. She was smoking hot in that white dress that clung to her curves. Yowza. He made his way up to her, leaning to whisper a quote into her ear, "well, that's a nice little nothing you're almost wearing!"

"Also, if you have little romantic notes to go along with the song you're requesting, let me know, I'll make sure to pass them along." Angel smiled, looking out across the crowd. She placed the microphone back on it's stand and descended from the stage.
As she looked around the crowd, she spotted someone dressed in a costume that complimented hers. She made her way towards this person, curious as to which doctor it was who had dressed unknowingly complimentary to hers. "Why if it isn't Rhett Butler." She said, keeping her southern accent on. She looked the doctor over and suddenly blushed when she realized who it was. "If I didn't know better I'd take this as a sign." She chuckled. "Dr.Wilson." She added, giving him a small curtsy.

Wilson smiled to himself when he saw "Scarlett" making her way over to him. He already knew that tonight was going to be a good---maybe even a great---night. In a way, their costumes were almost perfect. Rhett had left Scarlett after she had fallen in love with him, and Wilson had left Angel after she had admitted her crush on him. The only difference was, unlike Rhett, he had come back.
"Dr. Fraser," he said, bowing. "Great minds think alike. And I must also say that you look gorgeous tonight." House was right. Wilson would have been an idiot for leaving her behind like he almost had.

She practically jumped as his breath ghosted past her ear as he spoke. Turning, she resisted the urge to smack his arm. Although, there was nothing she could to about the half-annoyed look that crossed her face.
"I wish you wouldn't do that," she muttered, referring more to the sneaking up than anything else. She couldn't say much more as there were people around. Not like she'd say anything to spoil the night. It was a grand event already, and would only get better. Smirking wickedly at House, Cuddy looped her arm around his.
"Care to lead me in?" she asked. The band had started to play something slow to get people onto the floor. "Mr. Bond?" she added with a wink.

Kayla listened to the music, chatting every now and again with people who would pass by her. She noticed that most were couples, she should have half-expected it, but hadn't really. Well she had attended, and was actually just content listening to the music. If it was a song she knew she was tempted to sing along, but so far that hadn't happened. Then in her opion, it was the best she was quiet.
Hearing voices she somewhat reconized, Kayla thought about introducing herself, but wouldn't want to intrupt anything. But, then again some things were just getting started as well.

House smirked, trying to emulate the Bond charm and charisma. "I do so enjoy being in the driver's seat," he replied, glad it was a slow song; his leg wouldn't need to do much work. He took Cuddy's hand in his, and led her to the dance floor. His blue eyes twinkled beneath the mask as he guided Cuddy close to him, moving to the music. He loved the feel of Cuddy in his arms and the smell of her hair.
Some devilry possessed him to lean forward to mutter into her ear the words he had wanted to say for a while. "And, yes. The name's Bond. James Bond."

Angel blushed brighter with Wilson's compliment. "Apparently so." She smiled, adjusting the lace shawl that was draped across her. "I must say, it suits you." She chuckled, looking him over again. "I pegged you as the type to watch classical movies." She was glad he had showed up. As much as being single on Valentine's day sucked, it was always good to have friends in the same situation, at least they would understand.
She looked around at those around her and spotted a familiar doctor. "Good evening Dr. Tsukino." She smiled, looking the doctor over. Everyone had dressed up so nicely this evening. "You look absolutely stunning."

"Thank you...I think," he added, chuckling. Wilson had gathered up the courage to ask Angel to dance with him but before he could utter any words she had turned around and started talking to another doctor. Wilson took the time to look around too. He spotted Cuddy and House and wondered how they were going to pull of the night together without raising too many suspicions.
Wilson wandered over to the tables with the drinks on them and poured himself a cup of water. Just because he was a lonely and (sometimes) miserable man didn't mean he was going to use booze to drink away all of his problems.

Cuddy laughed lightly at House's comment as they stepped onto the floor. She hoped that everyone else would be to involved in each other to notice that her and House had shown up together. Even though it had been almost a month since they'd renewed their relationship, she still wasn't sure that the rest of the hospital should know. Reaching one arm up around his neck as she was pulled close, she rested her head on his chest, breathing in his scent. Lisa was pleasantly surprised to discover that it wasn't his usual Old Spice. Chuckling softly at the quote, she glanced up at him. "Are you..wearing AXE?" she asked, leaning against him as they moved. "I like it. A lot." She smirked, settling into his embrace as the song played on. Such a beautiful song. So listen with all your heart, hold it inside forever; You may find all your dreams have already come true. Look inside and find the part that's leading you, 'Cause that's the beat of a heart...

“I almost didn’t,” Alexandria told Damien as she took the roses out of his hand, and leaned towards him. “I usually don’t accept pity dates.”
As she said those words, the first thing that she noticed was the small look of hurt that appeared in his eyes. However, she was shocked when he just shook his head and laughed. Strangely she was beginning to wonder exactly what the man considered to be so funny. He then ran his hand through his dark brown hair.
“A month, that’s how long it took me to actually gather the courage to ask you out. And, before you say that this isn’t a date…it is. I can even forgive you for not wearing what I asked you to wear, only because you happen to look stunning in blue. It also matches your eyes in a way. To answer your question, yes I like you, and yes I happen to want to go out with you again. However, I am willing to wait until you are ready to do such a thing. But, if this is only for one night, then allow me to make the best of it, Xandria.”
After he said that, Damien held out his arm for her to take and waited to see if she would take it. After she trying to decide what she was going to do, Alexandria placed her hand on his arm, and allowed him to lead her into the cafeteria.
At least, I’m the only one who knows that this will probably never happen again.
