When the elevator stopped at the fourth floor, Cuddy walked out, gesturing for Nelson to follow. She walked quickly down the hall to the glass-enclosed office of Doctor Gregory House, M.D. When she reached the door, she motioned for Nelson to stop. She wanted to make sure he wasn't busy. Not that he was ever busy...
She looked into the office, seeing him at his desk. The blinds surrounding the conference room were open, and there were a few notes. At least he'd done some work. His fellows were no where in sight though. Probably off running tests and the like.
Looking back at Nelson, Cuddy knocked a couple times on the door before opening it slowly. "Got a minute?" she asked, knowing full well what those words would bring to mind.

House looked up from his crude drawings (stick figures doing unmentionable things to one another) at Cuddy's voice. He smirked, flipping the file he had been vandalizing shut. "I always have a minute or two for your fun bags. Come closer, that I may examine them in more detail. Oh, you've brought along a rent boy? Is he any good?" House looked at the younger man who followed Cuddy, examining the youth critically, before looking back at Cuddy.
"Another patient? I'm already working on a case. Go try Fraser. She's always up for the sad cases." House waved his hand dismissively, reaching for his Nintendo DS. He had a high score to beat.

James followed Cuddy from the elevator down the hall. He stood back as she knocked on the door, glancing curiously into Doctor House's office. His attire surprised James, he hardly looked like a doctor in street clothes. However James had been warned to expect surprises.
Following Cuddy in, he merely smiled when the doctor called him a rent boy. "Not today, I thought maybe I'd apply for a real job," James replied sarcastically.

Cuddy walked closer to House's desk. Leaning on it, she whispered, sure that only House could hear, "I'll let you examine my breasts later if you cooperate." Standing, she turned back to Nelson.
"Mr. Nelson, this is Doctor House. You are to treat him as you would any of your professors in college. You are to do as he says without question....unless it's something completely unethical, in which case you are both to come to my office for the green light." She'd turned her head briefly back at House as she'd emphasized the 'both'. Turning to address House, she figured she should probably explain things to him.
"Doctor House, this is James Nelson, recently graduated NYU with honors. He will be interning in your department for a year before completing his residency under your command as well." Catching sight of the results of what he had been doing when she'd entered, she rolled her eyes. Picking up one of his pens, she drew a little heart with an arrow through it on the corner of a random sheet of paper. She raised an eyebrow, indicating her drawing. Throughout this, she had continued speaking. "You are to treat him as you do your fellows. You are to teach him as you do your fellows. And if I hear that you have your fellows teaching him, there will be consequences." The consequences being, quite simply, celibacy. Cuddy hoped that House would get her meaning, both with the drawing and her particular emphasis.

House smirked at Cuddy's childish maneuver. Withholding sex was really going to have an effect on how he behaved toward his inferiors, absolutely, House thought sarcastically. Still, he schooled his face, looking at the young man with a straight face.
"Well, Dr. Nelson, welcome aboard the crazy House train. You'll either like working under me, or you'll hate it; I don't really care. As long as you remain professional, and do your job, we'll be fine.
"I am going to train you how to use your tiny little brain to solve puzzles. By the time I'm finished with you, you'll be the best damn doctor in this country. My young Padawan, if you haven't the stones to take it, leave now and forever hold your peace. Well, you don't have to hold your peace, just don't do it here."

James nodded to Cuddy in silent agreement to obey what she said. He eyed House. It was hard to imagine him as a professor. Still; he was ready to obey him and do whatever he asked.
He tried not to laugh at House's reply before adding his own:
"I look forward to working under you. I'll work hard and try to be an intern worthy of working with you. And believe me, after my mother, I can take just about anything you dish out. " He told House. He couldn't help tacking on an "I'm ready master." on the end.

Listening with mild amusement as they went back and forth, Cuddy smirked. Shaking her head slowly, she gave a small sigh. Glancing at House, she gave him a secret look.
"I'll let you two get acquainted, then, shall I?" she said, backing away from House's desk. Making her way towards the door, she contemplated how to get House to 'thank her' properly. Smiling slightly, she stopped with her hand on the door handle. Turning, she locked eyes with House.
"I'd like to see you in my office later, Doctor House. There are some things I think we should discuss." Smile still firmly in place, she opened the door and walked out. She didn't go back to her office right away, though. If he decided to follow her out, she'd be here.

House smirked with glee as Nelson let slip of his personal information. Trouble with the mother, was there? Interesting, he thought as he considered how best to exploit it. He couldn't suppress the tipping of his lips in a smile at Nelson's afterthought.
"Good," he nodded, turning to Cuddy, he caught her look, and tried not to smile again. Dang, honest smiles twice in one morning? Soon the team was going to wonder what was up with him. He stirred out of his thoughts to listen to Cuddy asking to meet him in her office later.
He watched her go, thinking that could go two ways. Either she really did have something important to discuss while he ignored her, or he was going to get some afternoon delight on her desk. He was really hoping for the second. It would be so much more fun.
"Stay here, Padawan," House lobbed his Ball of Indeterminate Origin to the intern. "Let that occupy yourself while Daddy goes to talk to Mommy." He limped to the hallway and shut the door behind him. "Why did I know you would... linger on the sidewalk where the neon lights are shining?"

(( and what is a ball of interminate origin?))
Jason noted House’s smirk when he mentioned his mother and regretted mentioning her. He hoped House wouldn’t ask more about it. If there was one thing he hated talking about, it was his overbearing, obnoxious mother. However, as his father pointed out multiple times over his childhood, it 'prepared him for any people he'd encounter later in life'.
Like House, possibly? That was yet to be seen...
He thanked Cuddy as she left, before sitting back down, not sure what to do next. He gave a slight wave when House left, closing the door behind him.
He hummed quietly to himself while watching a couple bicker outside the window.

|OoC: I'll let House explain it...it's his BoIO, after all|
Not surprisingly, she didn't have to wait long. Cuddy looked up, meeting House's eyes. Shrugging lightly, she contemplated her answer for all of two seconds.
"I didn't want to go back to my office alone," she whispered as a doctor wheeled a patient down the hall past them. Once they'd turned the corner, she returned to normal speaking volume. "It's lonely down there." That could go two ways. And she was sure he'd jump to the second meaning of the innocent-sounding phrase.
"Although, I'm sure you'd like to tell your new intern that you'll be attending that 'meeting'" Cuddy actually made air quotes around the word, "now...it's urgent, can't wait..." She let herself trail off as a nurse passed by. "You get my drift. I'll wait by the elevator." She pushed herself away from the wall and walked away to do just that.

((The ball of indeterminate origin (BoIO) is a fuzzy ball baseball House has in his office. It is green and red. They just showed up one day and he plays with them lacrosse style with his cane sometimes.))
House smirked and watched Cuddy walk away. Poor lonely Cuddy. It was a busy job, but someone had to do it. Obviously, he was the only one who could do it, too, he thought, lecherously. Now to take care of the Intern Padawan.
"Padawan," he said, entering his office, "yeah, there's a meeting going down. My services are needed; gotta make the boss happy. Since your services are not needed, (don't take this the wrong way, it's not me, it's you) I'm going to send you to the Love Doctor. Just take a left then a right and her office is just right there. You can't miss it. Doctor Angel will make all your heart sadness better.
"Just try to keep your eyes four inches above her breasts. I know it's hard, I pretty much never fight it, but just try," House smirked. "I'll be back in... an hour." He looked at his watch, and considered. "Make that two. See you later. Leave the ball here." House nodded, then left the office, heading straight for the elevators. He paused, and turned to call over his shoulder, "don't burn the hospital down, my boss' bosses wouldn't like it, even though I would."

((Aha, awesomeness. I actually looked that up-no wonder I couldn’t find anything…..stop laughing))
“Yea I‘ll try and control myself,” James replied to House; smiling slightly. Off to Doctor Angel then. He wondered if her name matched her personality.
James nodded to his new boss/master, got up, and almost tripped over a shoe lace before setting the ball down on House's desk.
“I’ll see you in a couple hours then…”He replied, before moving along on his way.
