Angel had invited Wilson back to her place after the party, partially due to the interruption earlier in the clinic as well as just hoping he'd come home with her. She knew he was staying at House's, and figured House and Cuddy were probably making their way back there, so it would be a nice reprive for him to not have to listen to any of their noises.
Opening the door to her house, she squeezed herself in and motioned for Wilson to join her. "Welcome to my humble abode." She smiled, scooping up Shadow before the cat could make it's daring escape. "It's nothing fancy or anything, but it's home."

Embarrassed didn't even begin to cover how Wilson had felt when Cuddy and House had walked in on them, so Wilson was very grateful that Angel had invited him to come over to her place. He didn't want to have to listen to House. Making out at his place of employment with a girl he hadn't even been on an officially date yet was not like Wilson at all.
He stepped inside behind her. After a quick glance around he said, "It's a lot better than House's place. Just promise me that you won't make me make breakfast tomorrow morning," he said, chuckling.

"I don't mind making breakfast tomorrow morning." She smiled, putting her cat down on the floor. "I make pretty good french toast." She could tell Wilson felt the same way as her when Cuddy and House had walked in on them, it had been rather embarrassing. She looked him over and rested a hand on his shoulder. "In the short time I've known you, I have to admit, I think today's little escapade wasn't like you." She smirked, wrapping her arms around his arm. "But a little bit fun never hurt anyone... Maybe embarrassed us a little, but none the less." She began to lead him towards the bedrooms. She'd offer him the guest bedroom, but her bed was always open as well.

Wilson smiled. She was right in saying that it wasn't like him. With everything that had happened in the last few weeks, he couldn't think straight. "I had a great time tonight, Angel, don't get me wrong but I think we should go back to our taking it slow deal." He didn't want to admit it to her but he still wasn't completely over Amber.

"As you wish." Angel said, nodding her head. She had to admit, it hurt to hear that he wanted to slow things back down, but she could see his point as well. Patience, Angel reminded herself, patience. "So long as you had a good time." She said softly, directing him to the guest room. "This would be my guest room. My room is just further down the hallway, the bathroom is next door to the guest room." She opened the door for him. "If you need anything, please feel free to ask." She smiled, inwardly masking her shock and somewhat dismay to previous comments. Kissing his forehead, she stepped back, itching to get out of her costume.

Wilson could clearly tell that she was disappointed but taking it slow was for the best. He knew it was going to be hard to do but they were going to have to do it. "Good night, Angel." He planted a kiss on her cheek and walked into the bedroom, closing the door behind him.
He stripped down to his boxers and was glad to finally be out of his costume. Wilson went over to the bed and pulled down the covers. He laid down and made himself as snug and comfortable as he could.

Angel let him kiss her good night and watched as he closed the door. Moving back to her room, she quickly stripped out of the costume she was wearing, making sure to hang it up carefully before pulling on a pair of pajama shorts and a tank top. Climbing into bed, she pulled the covers up and tried to sleep.
Angel awoke, feeling a second body in her bed. Turning, she looked over to see Wilson in bed with her. Curious as to why he was in her bed, she gently nudged him. "Good morning..." She sighed, nudging him again. Wilson's body rolled over, and the same dead eyes she had seen on Jackson she now saw on Wilson. "No..." She muttered, turning over the other way to get out of her bed. Only she couldn't, there, laying next to her was Jackson, staring at her with dead eyes. She let out a scream in horror.
Angel shot up in bed, hoping she hadn't screamed out loud. She hadn't had a decent night's sleep since the accident and the dream she had just had scared the crap out of her. Her heart was pounding a mile a minute, so she stopped to take a couple of deep breathes before climbing quietly out of bed and making her way to the kitchen. With trembling hands, she opened a cupboard to take out a glass for water, but only ended up dropping it. It shattered on the floor, sending shards of glass flying. "Damnit..." She muttered. She stared at the pieces of glass on the floor, almost in tears, although she wasn't sure why. All she hoped was Wilson hadn't been awoken by her noise.

Wilson was sleeping a dreamless sleep when he thought he heard a scream. A faint scream but a scream, nonetheless. He stumbled out of bed, rubbing at his eyes to try and wake himself up. Wilson had just opened up the bedroom door as Angel dropped the glass. There was no mistaking that noise. He put two and two together quickly. Angel must have had a nightmare.
Wilson navigated his way to the kitchen. He could see how distraught Angel looked. He carefully made his way over to her, keeping his eyes on the ground to avoid any pieces of broken glass. Hugging her tightly, he asked, "Are you okay?"

Angel nearly jumped when Wilson hugged her, having been off in her own little world. She sagged against him, finding comfort in his arms. "Bad dream..." She mumbled, now upset that she had woken Wilson up as well. Bad dreams had been all par for the course, but at least she'd never woken anyone else up.
"I didn't mean to wake you up." She said, her voice full of apology. "All I wanted as a drink of water so I could get back to sleep, but my hands apparently don't want to work. Good thing I'm not a surgeon." She then looked up at him with haunted eyes. "These dreams won't go away."

Wilson took out another glass from the cupboard and filled it up with water. He handed it to Angel. "It's all right," he told her, thinking that if he had spent the night at House's he wouldn't have gotten a wink of sleep, whereas at least he gotten a couple of hours of decent sleep here. "Go back to your bedroom. I'll clean up in here and then join you." Just to talk, he mentally added.

Accepting the glass of water with her still shaking hands, she took a few sips before nodding at Wilson's instructions. "Ok," She said softly, turning to head carefully to the door. "The broom's in the closet over there." She added, pointing to a small closet.
She made her way back to her room and placed the glass of water on her bedside table. Slipping back into bed, Angel sat there waiting, blankets pulled up over her knees, which she was hugging. She just had an amazing night with Wilson, full of all sorts of surprises, and here she was in bed, scared of a nightmare. Not only that, but she'd woken Wilson up. She'd invited him here to get some uninterrupted sleep, and now he was awake cleaning up shards of glass that she had caused.

As Wilson cleaned up various thoughts ran through his head. How much comfort should he--or could he--give Angel? What would happen if she wanted more than he was willing to give her tonight? The one thing he knew for sure was that he wouldn't be spending the night in the guest bedroom, after all. After he was done cleaning, he went over to the sink and splashed some cold water on his face to help wake himself up.
He made his way over to Angel's bedroom and sat down next to her, wrapping a comforting arm around her shoulders. "If you don't want to talk about your dreams, you don't have to. If you do, I'm here to listen." He couldn't force her to say anything she didn't want to.

Angel rested her head on his shoulder, trying to put her thoughts in order. "I didn't meant to wake you up. I'm sorry about that." She said finally, wanting to apologize first and foremost. "I've been having these dreams since the accident. Sometimes I'll be in the car, but I'll be able to move yet I can't save Jackson. Other times I'll be in the ER, again able to move, uninjured, still not able to save him. On the rare occasion, I'll dream of one of the times he beat me, except this time he actually kills me." She stopped, looking up at him. "This time, I woke up in bed to find you in bed with me, but you were dead... then I rolled over to find Jackson in bed with me, dead as well." She shivered, trying to get the images out of her mind.

"I had dreams too," he said, not wanting to elaborate on that. "It may take awhile, but they will go away. I'll stay in here tonight if you want me to." Wilson ran his hand through Angel's hair and leaned over, giving her a soft kiss on the lips. "Goodnight, Angel." Wilson got under the covers and laid down.

She went to protest, but Wilson already seemed to have made himself comfortable in her bed. "Thank you." She murmured, curling her body up against his. "Good night James." She said, closing her eyes. It wasn't long before she managed to fall asleep, the idea of Wilson keeping her dreams at bay.
