Lisa sighed, chewing her lip. "I'm pregnant," she whispered lowly, not sure if Angel had heard her or not. "That's the secret," she continued, still in the low voice. "Please don't tell anyone. Wilson's already promised to keep his peace..." she finished at normal volume. Cuddy wasn't sure how Angel would take to the news that Wilson had known before her, but that was the way it had played out.
Cuddy blinked a couple times as Angel told her story. Rolling her eyes, she figured she should have known House would break his promise. But then...if House had interrupted something inappropriate, then she could forgive him just this once. "You sound like it would have been better if House had kept his promise to not bother you..." Cuddy said sardonically.

"Pregnant?" Angel exclaimed as quietly as she could. She couldn't believe it, her friend was pregnant. "That's wonderful. How far along are you?" She inquired. Her mind began to whirl with ideas of baby showers and the like. This was her first friend who was pregnant and she was completely over joyed.
"Well I mean it would have been nice not to be interrupted." Angel sighed, shaking her head. She tapped her fingers against the side of her mug and sighed again. "I know it probably shouldn't of happened. I mean we're both still healing and as you said we should take things slow. Which is why I'm sure we've been avoiding each other."

Cuddy nodded, wondering about how Angel would react to the "estimated" date of conception. "Thirteen days, roughly..." she muttered back, running her hand through her hair. There was no estimation about that date. Cuddy knew it was dead on. She still couldn't help but think it ironic that the very day House had said goodbye to her had been the night he'd gotten her pregnant. She resisted the urge to laugh insanely at that thought.
"No. It shouldn't have," Cuddy agreed, even knowing that by doing so, she was putting herself on House's side. "You should have been resting. I don't want to have to talk to James about this. I just want to know that you two know what you're doing. He's had three ex-wives and his girlfriend died in his arms. He doesn't need another heartache..." Honestly, Cuddy wasn't sure why she was telling Angel this. She just felt that Angel deserved to know why she had to take it slow with Wilson.

"Thirteen days..." Angel repeated, calculating the day of conception. Her eyes went wide when she realized when that was. "You're kidding me..." She said, not completely sure how to react to the date of conception. "Well, at least you'll have an interesting story to tell your child." She said, saying what she thought was best.
"You don't have to talk to Wilson about this. Believe me, like I said I've been avoiding him. I don't want to, I just don't know how to approach this whole situation." She sighed. She hated her emotions, they annoyed and bugged her way too much. "Three ex wives?" She blinked, not completely sure how to take that. "I'm sure things will be different with me and him." Maybe, she added in her head. If they could ever get passed the awkwardness. "No, the man does not deserve another heart break. He's a sweet, wonderful man."

Shaking her head, Cuddy lowered her hand. "No. I'm not. And if House hadn't walked into the clinic that day and pissed me off, we wouldn't be having this discussion." And she and House wouldn't be back together. It was interesting how fate worked. Maybe it would work out for Wilson and Angel as well...
"Tell him what you feel, Angel. That's all you can do. If he doesn't say anything, give him time." She supposed she was giving that last bit of advice to herself as well. "Maybe they will," Cuddy said, nodding. She'd have to get House to talk to Wilson, find out if the oncologist felt the same as Angel did.
"I don't Greg or I could stand to see him hurt again. Take good care of him, Angel," she advised as the waiter came back to refill her hot chocolate. "He deserves to be happy. I think you could make him happy..."

"I don't know whether or not I can really talk to him, I mean after that..." She sighed, feeling slightly helpless and pathetic. "It's like high school all over again." She muttered. She sat there in silence, not completely sure what else to say.
"I would never dream of hurting someone like Wilson." Angel said, knowing that she was being warned now in advance. "I couldn't bring myself to hurt him. He's just too special. He's one of a kind...." She stopped. "He's just plain wonderful." She looked down at her mug again. "I think your diagnosis was right doctor, and I don't think there's a cure."

Lisa smiled and shook her head. She'd felt that way too, once upon a time in Michigan. And she hadn't said a word, and look where that had landed her.
"Tell him. You'll always regret it if you don't." She hoped Angel wouldn't pick up on the personal experience in her voice as she spoke. Secretly, she was glad that Angel was beginning to consider that she might really be in love. Outwardly, though...she couldn't help but be worried about both of them.

"I was always told never to live with regret..." Angel tried to smile, but couldn't manage to do so. She'd have to work up enough courage to talk to Wilson, but she was pretty sure he felt the same way. Things would certainly be different either which way.
"I'll talk to him, at some point." Angel sighed, shaking her head. Pushing her empty mug away from her, she stretched somewhat. "I should get going. Things to do, places to go... So much for days off." She managed to chuckle. She rested her hand on Lisa's arm. "Thanks for listening, and the advice. I'm really happy for you and House." She said with genuine happiness and care in her voice.

Cuddy smiled, knowing in her heart that whatever happened between Wilson and Angel would be for the best. She nodded as Angel stretched. "All right. I'm glad I could help," she answered, nodding again. "And thank you. You will keep the pregnancy secret, won't you?"
Cuddy didn't know what she'd do if the board discovered she was pregnant by one of her employees. That would destroy the hospital's reputation, and put her and House out of work. She couldn't have that happen. So, she hoped that it would stay under wraps until they figured out what to do.

"Cross my heart." Angel smiled, feeling much better than she had when she first came in. Giving Lisa one last look, she moved towards the counter with her crutches and payed for both Cuddy's and her drinks. It was the least she could do for Cuddy after her friend had listened to her babble about how she felt for Wilson. Right now though, she needed to clear her mind and figure out the best way to approach Wilson about her feelings.
