"You're only the second person to suggest that," Cuddy replied, now seriously wondering if House had said anything at all to Wilson about their conversation. "I told House that just because he could fake human parthenogenesis, it didn't mean that he should." She knew Wilson was joking, but she felt the need to draw out the conversation, as if he'd just taken a vacation and she was telling him what had happened while he was gone. Either that, or she felt like she needed a mini therapy session....but that thought wasn't too appealing.
Though, he was right. She just had to make herself agree with him. It had been hard enough dealing with everything before. Now that she was pregnant...it would be a lot harder. Maybe she should start looking for assistants as House had suggested. Maybe hire a secretary? "I hope so," she said after a while. Then: "Do you know anyone who would be willing to....be my secretary? Or assistant?" Cuddy hoped he wouldn't ask why; she wasn't sure 'House recommended it' would pass for a decent answer.

"Really?" Wilson was starting to think too much like House. It was frightening to him. "Don't be too hasty in putting that option on the cutting block. It may be your only choice." Wilson hated saying that...but it was a safe route.
"And why do you think you need an assistant?" Wilson asked, not knowing that she didn't want him to.

All things considered, Cuddy would rather have the truth known than pretend she was living proof of the 'virgin' birth. But, again, they had nine months to come up with something. So, she just decided not to press the issue. They'd have this conversation again in four or five months...when she started to show.
"I don't think I need an assistant. House does." Cuddy leaned back in the chair, not looking at Wilson. "He thinks that if I delegate more of my administrative duties, it will put less stress on the baby. And the thing that scares me the most is that I think he's right..." What was she saying? Of course House was right...he had the good fortune to be able to think logically during this whole ordeal, whereas she would be indecisive and moody most of the time.

"Are you---are you agreeing with House?" Wilson asked, stunned. Moments where House and Cuddy agreed were few and far between. If only he had had a video camera with him to record the historical moment. Putting all of that aside, Wilson also agreed with House. He scratched his head, trying to come up with some names but finally gave up in defeat after a minute. "Afraid I don't know anyone."

Cuddy nodded. "With things as they stand now, I have a feeling I'm going to be doing that a lot more often," she replied. After all, while her hormones were out-of-whack, House would be the one making the most sense of things. But she decided not to mention that part to Wilson. Ever.
"Oh well...I'll ask around. And if anyone asks why, I'll make something up..." Cuddy waved her hand, attempting to appear as though she didn't care either way. "I may even try to get House to do it. It was his idea after all." Not that she thought House would readily agree to it; she was certain he wouldn't. Finally, she looked back at Wilson. "Well. If you want to move back into your office, I shouldn't keep you any longer than I need to." Of course, if he wanted to stay and keep talking, that was his choice.

"I never thought I'd see the day where you uttered those words," he said, pleasantly surprised. Only time would tell if their always agreeing with one another would turn out to be a help or a detriment to the hospital.
Wilson stood up. "Yeah. I should probably unpack before House does something stupid that makes me regret I ever came back," he joked. Nothing could get Wilson to leave Princeton-Plainsboro again. "Good luck with everything, Lisa," he said. "If you ever need anyone to talk to, my door's always open." With that said he left her office.

Cuddy just laughed humorlessly. She probably wouldn't agree with him all the time...probably nine times out of ten, though. And it would probably make everyone else suspicious. God knew, that was the last thing Cuddy wanted.
"You're not leaving again. Not after I just hired you," Cuddy said, only partly joking. "And thanks again, James. You and House are going to be my lifelines through this." She resisted the urge to hug him again, going instead back to her desk. There was paperwork to be done here.
