She felt herself being pulled away from him to look him in eyes. She listened to him explain what was going to happen next, and she nodded, wiping away the tears from her eyes. Hearing that his girlfriend Amber would have wanted him to move on, she thought of what Jackson had said to her. The pain filled her again as she began to sniffle, trying very hard not to cry again.
"I still have to be admitted for more tests." She said softly, looking at him. She reached out and touched his cheek. "Please tell me you'll stay with me. I don't want to be alone."

Wilson felt like breaking down and crying, as floods of memories were brought back. But he knew that he had to remain strong for the both of them. He had never completely gotten over Amber's death, and Angel would never completely get over Jackson's. Wilson didn't need to tell her that. It was something she was going to learn in the next few painful weeks when she began her process of healing.
He gave Angel a comforting smile. "I'll be here," he said. He took her hand off of his cheek and held it in his own hand. "I quit my job at Johns Hopkins because you're going to need to all of the friends and support you can get." That, Wilson knew, had been his biggest mistake---Pushing away his friends. Pushing away House.

Giving a small watery smile to Wilson, she felt somewhat comforted by his hand holding hers. She knew it would be a long process to get over Jackson, she remembered having gone through that process after her father's death. She was shocked when he told her that he had quit his job.
"You quit?" She stammered, not completely sure what to make of this revelation. "How did you know about this?" She shook her head. "No, you were happy you were going to Maryland, what changed?" She inquired, too many questions running through her head.

Wilson shrugged his shoulders. "I just know when someone needs me," he said. That was the only way he could explain it. "I wasn't as happy there as I thought I'd be. You were right when you told me I can't run away from my problems." Wilson brought her hand up to his mouth and kissed it tenderly.
He stood back up and said, "I should probably let the doctors take care of you now. I'll be in the waiting room."

"I don't think now is the time to say I told you so." She chuckled, then winced at the pain. She hurt all over, but it was comforting to know Wilson would be there. She blushed somewhat when he kissed her hand.
She didn't want him to go, but she knew it would be for the best. "Alright. I'll see you when I'm done." She gave him another smile, this time a stronger one. A nurse stepped in at this point and began to wheel her away. Angel looked back at Wilson one last time before she was taken away.
