At Wilson's announcement, the expression in House's eyes was unreadable, his face merely inscrutable. He looked at Wilson trying so hard to get away. Run away from his feelings, everything. Like he thought he was in a rut and going nowhere fast.
He listened to Angel as she placated Wilson. Drinks to sooth the savage beast. Sounded good to him. "Yeah," he agreed, his throat feeling dry like the Gobi freaking desert. He really wanted another drink. "Drinks, more strippers, and good times to be had. Like I said, you're leaving, and I won't let you go without a good send off. And that means we let the good times roll."

The longer he stayed, the harder Wilson knew it was going to be say goodbye. Plus, he didn't want to come into work on his first day hung over. Although, that would get him sent back to Princeton-Plainsboro in a jiffy and make Angel and House quite happy.
He shook his head. "I have a lot of packing left to do." Lousy excuse but it would do for now. "I should get going."
Now the hard part. He turned toward Angel. "Take care of yourself," Wilson said, embracing her. "I'll miss you." He let go of her and gave her a friendly kiss on the forehead.
Wilson walked over to House. What could he say to his best friend of over twenty years? He had already tried telling House not to do anything stupid, which was stupid of him to even say. "I'll miss you too," he finallly settled on, pulling House into a friendly hug. "Don't forget you can call whenever you need to."
Wilson took a step back from House and glance backed at Angel. He was an idiot for leaving, but he didn't realize that yet. Wilson didn't want to linger any longer. He exited the booth and then the club without a single look back.

Angel embraced Wilson back, blushing slightly at his kiss. "Take care of yourself Wilson." She replied back, reluctant to let him go. She watched him leave, wanting to say something, anything that would make him want to stay. She wrapped her arms around herself and turned back to House to see his reaction to all this.
"It was fun while it lasted." She sighed, sitting down in one of the chairs. She pulled her legs up underneath her and just sat there, not completely sure what to think. Flagging down the waitress, she ordered herself a long island ice tea. She needed the drink right now.

House watched Wilson go. He had made no secret of his opinion of Wilson's idiocy for leaving, but he had tried to put on an understanding and accepting front. He didn't have to like it, but he tried to appear supportive. His arms still itched from the awkward hug they had exchanged.
"Yeah, fun," House muttered. He reached into his pocket, pulling out the wad of money that he had promised Angel. "Thanks for trying, anyway," he added, slipping the bills into her lab coat pocket. "I think I'm gonna call it a bust and take an early night."

"It was fun. I hope you enjoyed it as well." Angel sighed. The waitress hadn't returned with her drink, so she just left a fifty for her from the cash House had just given her. It had been an interesting night to say the least. Giving House a quick hug, she hopped back on stage and moved to the back room where she had gotten changed.
She pulled on her jeans and top, stuffing the lab coat and heels in the bag. Giving a passing smile at the blonde that had helped her, she exited the strip club through the front. Sighing, she just stood there, feeling the cool air on her skin.
